How is coaching for healing professionals different than supervision?

We talk about YOU, not your clients. Of course we are affected by our work, and that is important to acknowledge. However, in coaching, this is time for you to reflect, dig deeper, and create momentum for your life in the direction you desire to go.

What can I expect at my first session?

We will have an initial consultation call prior to your first session to determine if the coaching services I offer will be a good match to what you are looking for. In our first session we begin with an inventory of where you are in various aspects of your life. This helps us to map out a direction and guide our calls. We set intentions, goals, and create action oriented steps throughout the coaching session that you can apply in-between our calls. You are the wielder of change.

Do you offer in-person or online coaching?

All of my coaching sessions are done via phone or zoom. Walking sessions or in-person meetings take place in Arlington, Massachusetts at local coffee shops, walking paths, or other agreed upon locations based on needs of clients.

How often will we meet?

The first 2-3 sessions are done weekly to create a course of action and build some momentum. Then sessions can be tailored to your needs based on your specific piece of work and vision.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching meets the client where they are presently in their lives. Often clients seek therapy because they are stuck on something or need to heal trauma, life crisis situations, or become more emotionally secure. Coaching is meant to aid in the action steps clients want to take to move forward in their lives. Of course things come up in sessions that relate to life experiences but they typically inform the clients of why they are making certain choices and clients do not become stuck or paralyzed by these things. We can determine in the initial coaching consultation whether or not coaching is the right fit for you.

Do you accept insurance?

Unfortunately, coaching is not covered by insurance.
